Dr. Felipe Luis Palombini is Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Design at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) in Santa Maria (Brazil) and Postdoctoral Researcher in the Graduate Program of Design (PGDesign) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), in Porto Alegre (Brazil). He received his M.Sc. and his Ph.D. in the Graduate Program in Design (PGDesign/UFRGS) and was Postdoctoral Researcher at the Graduate Program of Botany (PPGBot/UFRGS). His research interests are focused on bionics, sustainability, design, and materials selection and characterization via finite element analysis and X-ray microtomography. He is also associated with the Design and Computer Simulation Research Group (DSC/UFRGS) and the Plant Anatomy Laboratory (LAVeg/UFRGS).
Dr. Fernanda Mayara Nogueira is Researcher at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology of Plants from the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences, and Letters at Ribeirao Preto (FFCLRP)-University of Sao Paulo (USP). She received her M.Sc. and Ph.D. in the Graduate Program of Botany (PPGBot) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). She has experience in the area of plant anatomy and plant morphology with an emphasis on reproductive morphology. Her research interests are in the areas of floral development, reproductive morphology, bioimaging, 3D technologies, and X-ray microtomography.
