Basic concepts of Production Management

Since the beginning of industrialization,human beings has attempted to improve productivity of his scarce resources in order to maximize creation of wealth in different forms, which is essential for survival and enjoyment of life.The continued pursuit of getting higher productivity since then led to industrial revolution and gave birth to two discipline such as Industrial Management and Industrial Engineering during the mid of twentieth century.Some authors says production Management as Interface Engineering or so called interdisciplinary branches in engineering. Information is an important parameter or we can say key to achieve system integration.Present techno-economic scenario across the globe is being marked by increasing competition in almost every sector of economy.This text has been collection of materials from various sources including internet as well as specified in reference in each chapters.The authors don't claim any originality but a compilation of from different sources which was taught in in his regular classes.
