In Kenya there has been a lot of anxiety when KCPE examinations results are released. The question is, who are the winners private or public schools? There has been a lot of arguments as to what means the private schools use to achieve high scores so as to pick the top positions each year. This book has explored factors which affect academic performance in both public and private schools;relationship between type of school and academic Performance; and why in Kenya despite the Free primary education offered in public schools, parents still prefer taking there children to private school.The book provides useful information for all education stakeholders including teachers, parents, policy makers and students; and Particular the Government so as to achieve basic education for all for the growth of the Nation of Kenya.
