In any Language, the mastery of basic grammar for the learners is very germane and pertinent for the necessary linguistic acquisition of such a language. Hence, this grammar book is intended to bring to the doorsteps of learners of the English language the rudiments of English grammar. In Nigeria schools especially, the teacher of the English language is deficient in the teaching of traditional grammar and one cannot give what he does not possess. This book has drastically treated many aspects of English grammar. The book is divided into six chapters. English idioms and common errors often committed by learners of the English language are also discussed in the book.

I am a 68 years old Nigerian, married with four (4) children. I am a retired Chief lecturer of French, having taught both English and French Languages for over 37 years in the secondary and tertiary institutions. I have 18 academic Journal articles and 5 standard textbooks to my credit. I hold a Master's of Acts (French).
