Basic knowledge of the Middle East conflict

Political education and intercultural competence of an educational science examine changes in life situations, power structures, social justice and respect for human rights. The Middle East conflict in Palestine is a national conflict between the Arab and Jewish populations. The UN partition resolution of November 29, 1947 set this conflict in motion, although there was no strategy to implement the partition peacefully. The democratization of political systems is essential, whereby the "Arab Spring" raised hopes. Reforms were prevented by power struggles and a lack of civil society and democratic structures.Western societies are feeling the consequences. This raises questions about political roles, responsibilities, challenges and opportunities. Political education aims to create a basic understanding of the special nature of the region. The study aims to provide an insight into the conditions, background and conflicts.
