Bees and Beekeeping

The book has profound knowledge of different aspects of biology and management of both the hive species of genus Apis and especially in the field of beekeeping. So their inputs are valuable as to the potential for the development of apiculture in India. Importance has been given to both Apis cerana and A. mellifera while planning the chapters since it is accepted fact that our apiculture has to flourish with the two hive species and any one of them cannot be ignored. The book is principally aimed at the practicality of bee biology and beekeeping with the two hive species.

Dr.Hari Chand working as a Jr. Scientist (Ento ) at SRI, RAU (Bihar)-India. He has extensive teaching & research experience in Apiculture & Sugarcane Entomology. He is the author of 5 books, 6 training manuals & 45 research articles. He has participated in International & National seminars & also received awards of honor in the field of Apiculture.
