Details

Large- and medium-scale wind turbine systems have been important renewable resources of energy, whereas the feasibility of small-scale wind turbines is still uncertain due to the difficulty in their application. In order to widespread acceptance, potentiality of small wind turbines should be explored in its applications area. This book therefore, wisely concentrates and provides a new concept about efficient integrated system of small wind turbines regarding environmental aspect, economic prosperity and locally independent energy system. The design of reliable and cost-effective integrated system require tremendous engineering and scientific skill and practice and a lot of trial should be performed. The integrated system will be used for not only power generation but also wind breaking or flow control. I feel the book should be suitable and of strong appeal to professionals in sustainable, renewable energy and environmental protection, to students (and faculty) of fluid mechanics and to representatives of the variety of local and government agencies seeking to expand their involvement in the green energy.
