Between Transit and Destination

Over the decades,Bangladesh has been being used as a transit route of small arms trafficking.These arms now are also meant to land in Bangladesh as a destination and reach to the every corner of the country by following a clandestine manner.Small arms have become the ultimate weapon of choice.A good number of illegal arms factories have added an insult to this injury.This book comprises a comprehensive picture of the current status of small arms smuggling.It has identified three areas of small arms uses where illicit weapons remain in circulation.The writing has some significant theoretical and policy implications.It will help the policymakers to redefine the small arms trafficking and reconsider the existing security measures.The analysis will encourage the law enforcement agencies to be pro-active in guarding borders and dealing with arms smugglers.
