Library is fountain of the knowledge that never goes dry. Libraries are the center of learning and service-oriented institutions and they exist of serve the users. Hence, the axis on which information system is revolves in based on use and users. The present study is a specified additive work to knowledge and beneficial to scan the National and International level literature in the field of medicine. It is hoped that the study, based on the citation study of bibliographic references appended to Higher study in medical education will provide an apparent view of information and use pattern of medical scientist. It will also provide guideline in the decision making process with regard to the acquisition and organizing of documents in the libraries of medical institutions.

Dr. Akash Kumar Singh born in 1978 in Kamalganj, District-Farrukhabad (U.P.). Presently he is working as Head, Deptt. of Library & Information Science, Gandhi Faiz-e-Aam College, Shahjahanpur (U.P.) (affiliated to M.J.P. Rohilkhand Uni. Bareilly).He is also a life member of ILA and Joint Secretary of Society for Promotion of Libraries Uttar Pradesh
