Bilingualism: The Importance of Children Mastering a Second Language

In these modern times where globalization prevails, a neutral language is necessary for interactions to flow and effective communication is obtained, and although there are other languages of international use, the English language has been able to impose itself offering remarkable and numerous advantages such as its significant influence for academic training and professional improvement.The knowledge of English nowadays in this modern and interconnected world has become an essential factor for international communication, enabling the communication and exchange of ideas and cultures. Even in most countries today English is considered a compulsory subject and is not limited to any social or economic elite.

I am a teacher at the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the University of Oriente in the province of Santiago de Cuba. Graduated from the career of English Language with second French Language in 2014. I am currently working on a doctoral thesis on the teaching of English language in early childhood.
