The book consists of five chapters.Chapter I presents the introduction to Charge Transfer Complexes(CTCs),multisite donors,electron acceptors,CT-DNA binding studies,spectral-microanalytical and computational methods.Chapter II discusses synthesis,spectral characterization,thermodynamic studies,antibacterial activity and DFT analysis of CTC of 1-benzoylpiperazine with p-chloronil.Chapter III deals with synthesis,spectral characterization,thermodynamic studies,CT-DNA binding,antibacterial activity and DFT studies of CTC formed between O-phenylenediamine and DDQ.Chapter IV discusses hydrogen-bonded CTC of 2,2'-dipyridylamine with 2,4-dinitrophenol.It includes preparation, spectral characterization,thermodynamic studies,CT-DNA binding,antibacterial activity and DFT studies.Chapter V deals with preparation,spectral characterization,thermodynamic studies,CT-DNA binding,antibacterial activity and DFT studies on CTC of 2,3-diaminophenazine with picric acid.
