This book lays emphasis on the advances in technology in a way that there is a sincere effort towards the development and synthesis of bio minerals at nano scale to encourage the mineralization of destroyed mineralized tissues to preserve the health of the soft tissues.At present, the focus is shifting toward halting demineralization and promoting re mineralization, understanding its dynamics and interplay. Materials and therapies are being developed to encourage overriding mineral uptake in the tissue, which will not only result in repair of the damage done, but concomitantly assist in preventing new lesions from forming.Thus in the near future it can be envisioned that there will be better alternatives in the field of restorative dentistry in the form of Bioactive materials.
