Biological risk assessment of care workers

The present work deals with the study of the main biological agents to which care workers (doctors, nursing staff and respiratory therapists) in the emergency area of the hospital san José are exposed, this being an area where patients with all types of diagnoses and diseases are received, admitting patients in various health conditions arising from general or infectious diseases, In accordance with the provisions of Law 31 of 1995 on the prevention of occupational hazards, the simplified evaluation methodology based on Royal Decree 664/1997 of May 12, 1997, on the protection of workers against risks related to exposure to biological agents at work BOE No. 124 24/05/1997 (State Agency Official State Gazette, 1998) will be applied.
