Biomechanics of Dental Implant

Biomechanics comprises of all kinds of interactions between tissues and organs of the body and forces acting on them. It's the response of the biological tissues to the applied loads. Dental implants function to transfer the load to the surrounding biological tissues. Thus the primary functional design objective is to manage (dissipate and distribute) biomechanical load to optimize the implant supported prosthesis function.
