Biomechanics of Steppage Gait

Neuromuscular disease causes abnormal gait. Sometimes due to complexity of gait, it is hard for a neurologist to diagnose the neuromuscular disorder while the precise analysis of biomechanical parameters of gait leads to better neuromuscular diagnoses and efficient design of orthesis. One of the common types of abnormal gait is steppage gait. Recognizing the kinematics and kinetics parameters of this kind of abnormal gait leads to better diagnoses and design of orthesis device.
