Biomolecules and Drugs

This book emphasizes biomolecules and drugs. The first two chapters of this book focus on biomolecules, namely carbohydrates, their classification, preparation, properties, and uses of glucose, fructose, starch, and cellulose. The third chapter covered the significance, classification, and clinical relevance of vitamins. The preparation, structures, and therapeutic uses of anti-inflammatory, analgesics, antipyretics, antibacterials, antimalarials, antibiotics, and anaesthetics were deliberated in a concise manner in the fourth and fifth chapters. The chapters discussed in this book were useful to students who are pursuing bachelor's degrees in chemistry, biochemistry, and microbiology.
