Biopharmaceutical Studies on Some Cephalosporin Metal Complexes

In this book, you will find many studies that done to describe the effect of metal ions on the physico-chemical characteristics and biological activities of cephalosporin antibiotics.Physico-chemical characterization include Elemental and metal analysis, electrical conductivity, FT-IR spectroscopy, FT-Raman spectroscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy, Qualitative and Quantitative solubility as well as electrophoresis mobility.Biological Studies include Uptake study of Gly-Sar in presence and absence of metal ions in Caco-2 cells, Uptake study of Gly-Sar in presence of metal ions in SKPT cells, Flux study in presence and absence of metal ions as well as the comparison of antimicrobial activities of produced metal complexes with that of their parent cephalosporins.
