Recently, much attention has been focused on the actinomycetes as sources of novel, bioactive compounds. The application of biochemical and molecular biological techniques to microbial systematics has provided insights that have drastically altered traditional taxonomic concepts. This book "Bioprospecting of Actinomycetes and its approaches" reviews the current research going in the field of Actinomycetes diversity, their novel compound and their use. Dr. Roshan Kumar is MSc, PhD and NET qualified. Subsequently he joined I.A.R.I. New Delhi as SRF and has handled various assignments in research projects. He published various research article, book chapters and also presented research finding in symposia and seminars in India and abroad. He filled one patent and also got research awards.
