Blind Memory

Photos may return a completely different image to what you had in your memory. The second you press the button, you're sacreting your memory. You can stare at an image for an eternity. You won't smell the smells, you won't hear the voices, you won't hear the streets, and you won't feel the good feeling that exists at the time of the shot. They say that cameras never lie. On the other hand, pictures can tell anything behind their small white frame.

Vivo y trabajo entre París y Teherán. Tras estudiar sociología en la Universidad de Teherán, me gradué en L'Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie, en Arles, y luego en el International Center of Photography, en Nueva York. Mi trabajo interroga a la fotografía como adocumento, cruzando la narrativa ficticia y el resultado objetivo.
