Blockchain and distributed ledger technology (DLT) have been identified as emerging technologies that can enhance global supply chain management processes. Given the embryonic nature of the technology, use cases pertaining to how it can be adopted and deployed in supply chain contexts is scarce.


Autorentext

Dr. Trevor Clohessy is a lecturer and researcher at the Atlantic Technological University Galway, Ireland, and has been researching and teaching about blockchain technologies for the past seven years. He has also written extensively on the topic in news media outlets, journals, and industry magazines. In 2022, his blockchain podcast was voted by Yoroyster as one of the top 14 globally recognised podcasts in the world. In 2018, Dr. Clohessy wrote one of the first industry reports which examined factors impacting the adoption of blockchain technologies in Ireland. Dr. Clohessy is also an academic collaborator with BiOrbic which is a leading SFI centre devoted to researching the bioeconomy. Dr. Clohessy also works with companies to develop digital and blockchain-based business models.
