Blonde Moments

Through an exploration of 'the blonde' in popular culture, she analyses social factors contributing to stereotypes surrounding blonde hair. We are reminded how social power relations not only determine what makes hair 'beautiful', but also shape our individual experiences with our hair. This unique piece of research suggests how, in a racially- and gender-stratified society, blondes might actually have more fun.
