BMH Simulator

In an extremely expensive industry, as the oil industry, the use of simulators is essential to predict future occurrences, define strategies and choose the best production methods. In this book, it is approached the simulation of the artificial lifting method called Mechanical Rod Pumping (BMH). In this method of artificial lifting oil most used in the world, so knowing its operation is very important. In this method, the rotary motion of an electric or internal combustion engine is transformed into reciprocating motion by a pumping unit located near the wellhead. A column of rods transmits the reciprocating movement to the bottom of the well, driving a pump that lifts the fluids produced by the reservoir to the surface.
