Robert John Apodaca, otherwise known as Bob Apodaca (born January 31, 1950, in Los Angeles, California) is the pitching coach for the Colorado Rockies. Apodaca, who is of Mexican American descent, attended Cerritos College and California State University, Los Angeles. He signed with the New York Mets as an undrafted free agent in 1971. Apodaca played for the Mets as a relief pitcher in the 1970s, leading the Mets in saves with 13 in 1975. He also served as their pitching coach from 1996 to 1999. He was the pitching coach for the Milwaukee Brewers in 2000-2001. He was hired by the Rockies as their pitching coach on October 31, 2002.
