BOVINE BRUCELLOSIS

Bovine brucellosis is highly prevalent and has significant economic and zoonotic implication for the rural communities in consequence of their traditional lifestyles, feeding habits and disease patterns. The disease is caused by Gram-negative, facultative intracellular bacteria that can infect many species of animals. The geographical distribution of brucellosis is constantly changing, with new foci emerging or reemerging.
