Brazilian Soccer and Its Uncertainties

The trajectory of the professional soccer player and the end of his career was the focus of this study, considering that this sport presents itself as a relevant instrument in social life, having collaborated to the consolidation of the Brazilian national identity, since society offers the context that allows us to make such an analysis. It was also considered that the number of former professional soccer players who end their careers in an unstructured way is expressive. We sought to analyze the career of the professional soccer player within a perspective of profound changes in the world of work, highlighting the formation of the idol, through his trajectory and how the end of the career exposes a context marked by the uncertainty of the future and frustrations in the face of an interrupted dream, where the resumption of stability presents the dilemma of accepting a new identity inside or outside this sport.
