Entrepreneurs and start-up companies often avoid standardization in order to remain flexible while exploring and commercializing innovative ideas. By doing so they face tough challenges and competition in terms of cost management, time to market and customer satisfaction. This study explores the relationship between standardization and innovation excellence as an impact of Lean over product architecture innovation. Our empirical findings suggest that how Lean improves the innovation excellence together with achieving overall business efficiency.
