Sony BMG Music, released it on the United Kingdom on November 26, 2007. The album was originally planned for a 2008 release. However, the project was rushed due to popular demand. The album was commercially successful, debuting at number two on the UK Albums Chart. It sold 95,801 units within a week of release, it was considerably less successful than its predecessor, self-titled album. The album yielded three singles, and the unexpected successful song "Until You" It was also successful in music markets, entering the top ten of several charts worldwide. Breathless was re-released on October 31, 2008 along with a DVD which included exclusive interviews and five music videos. The album has earned a platinum certification in the United Kingdom and an impressive five times platinum in Ireland. The album was ranked number two on Channel 4 list of the 100 Best Albums of 2007. It was also one of the best-selling albums in 2007 in UK.
