Basic definition of Vector calculus (or vector analysis) is given as: branch of mathematics concerned with differentiation and integration of vector fields, primarily in 3-dimensional. Plenty of material is available related to this subject in 2-Dimensions. But there is lack of understanding in actual 3-Dimensions. Student needs and psychology with respect to study environment is changed with time and hence new methodologies involving new technologies must be adopted. This short course takes an opportunity to attempt a 3-D attack on the basic concepts of vector analysis required for the electromagnetic field beginners.

Khan Sohel Rana received BE degree from Dr. BAMU, Aurangabad, India and M-Tech in VLSI & Embedded System from JNTU, Hyderabad, India. He is working for Ph.D at Dr. BAMU, Aurangabad, India. He worked as lecturer in India and Africa. His research interest includes the study of Electromagnetic Fields, Wireless Networks and Embedded Systems.
