Gotama Buddha is the known as the founder of Buddhism, who lived in Northern India in the 6th century B.C. He was called as Siddhartha, and the family name was Gotama. The name 'Buddha' was given to Him after He attained Enlightenment and realized the Truth. It means the 'Awakened' or the 'Enlightened One'. What we know is that He generally called Himself as the Tathagata, while His followers called Him Bhagava, the Blessed One. Others spoke of Him as Gotama or Sakyamuni.This book will explore what is the Buddhist path of diplomacy and politics and what Buddhism refers. There are various discussions how Buddhist diplomacy is being emphasized strongly in both Chinese and Indian public diplomacy, as they both seek to increase their soft-power attractiveness.
