Budget formulation and implementation in Anambra state Nigeria

This work was embarked upon with a view to determining the trend in the growth of Anambra State revenue over the years. Designed essentially as a descriptive survey, it is an ex-post-facto study.Time series analysis was the tool for data analysis. The study showed that there was a mismatch between planned expenditure with remarkably high values with actual revenue as it was observed in the Anambra State budget.The trend in growth of actual expenditure over the period(1991-2003)was upward sloping,rising slowly and steadily and that of actual revenue was upward sloping,rising sharply at first, then following an irregular pattern as it progresses.
