Building Facilities Management

Building facilities management is very important as it is related to health, customer's safety, and environment protection. Any decision making is based on existing cost and resource allocation of the buildings in management activities.This important issue is on how to allocate the limited costs that are available for facilities management to achieve the best return for their spending. To achieve this management must use a system to control the preventive management of building failure. This book develops a new process model to optimize the facilities management for systematic prevention of building failure.The data from 4 case studies are used. These data are analyzed by computation of financial and economical systems. For building managers seeking to expand their knowledge of a particular process or preventive management systems in general, the research provides a practical understanding. The process developed in this research will help to construction companies with a reliable implementation tool for their buildings facilities.

Nima Amani è assistente professore presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Civile dell'Università Islamica Azad, filiale di Chalous, Mazandaran, Iran. Ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in gestione delle costruzioni presso l'UTM, in Malesia.
