Building Self-efficacy for Classroom Effectiveness
Details
Globally, parents and governments are concerned with the standard of education. School administrators and teachers are increasingly under pressure to raise standards across the curriculum. Research indicates that the single most important factor in raising educational standards is teacher effectiveness. Teacher effectiveness is the theme of this book. It takes the reader into the minds of pre-service teachers as it explores their perceptions of self- efficacy in relation to fundamental instructional tactics. The reader will gain insights into pre- service teachers perceptions of their ability to teach English and Mathematics and how this correlates with other skills that are basic to teaching. Tertiary educators, school administrators and teachers who are interested in how self-efficacy affects performance, and how it can be enhanced, will find this book interesting.
