Business Process Reengineering

Software engineering is the application of a systematic, disciplined approach to the development, operation, and maintenance of software. The firms are nowadays in search of new management approaches in order to increase their competition related to rapid changes and technological developments. In response to an increasingly global and competitive environment, the flexibility to adapt to changing market needs and develop innovative processes is essential to compete. Business process reengineering (BPR) is mainly re-organizing the work processes. BPR changes the methods of process organizations, the roles of the practitioners, the structure and order of process levels. Business Process Reengineering (BPR) is one of the most recent innovations in industrial engineering which represents the rapid and radical redesign of strategic, value-added processes and the system, policies and organizational structures that support them to optimize the workflows and productivity of an organization. The main objective of Business process reengineering is typically pursued to improve processes, increase productivity, reduce costs, improve service and provide a competitive advantage.
