Car Ignition Access Control System Based on Face Recognition
Details
Automotive theft has been a persisting problem around the world. For providing a better security and comfort for the vehicle owners/users the identity of the user is essential. Here, human face is being used as an identification agent to recognize the user s identity. Face recognition based security system has a covert capability hence the theft detection becomes effective as the system itself will be masked from the thief. The process of face recognition system should go through image data retrieval, image compression and face recognition. The focused face image will then be subjected to face compression block for economic representation of face by retaining most of the principal components required by means of applying the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) algorithm.
