Carbon Analysis

Mangrove forests are well known among ecologists, as they are the standing stores of sequestered carbon from the atmosphere. Furthermore, global climatic change is a growing environmental issue at national and international levels due to the continuous stress of the anthropogenic activities on forest ecosystems that led to the continual rise of CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere. The annual global greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) is growing continuously to hit the roof at 49.5 billion tonnes (Gt) of CO2e in 2010 according to the fifth report assessment (AR5) by the working group members of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
