Career Aspiration and Academic Anxiety: Theory, Research & Application

The important and significant role of education is to channelize the future scholastic route and enable the individual to choose career options of his/her life. It is the secondary school stage where future of the students is determined and when the students are at the verge of making career choices. At this stage the students face utmost difficulty in career choice because they may be tempted to choose either most prestigious job or they will prefer a good job with highest financial benefit ignoring their abilities, interests, aptitude and aspirations. Educational anxiety is a universal subject which learner cannot disregard if they want to achieve academic success in institutions. If this issue is not addressed on time, it may lead to devastation and may have enduring consequences such as developing in students the lack of interest for learning. This book is the outcome of a research titled "Career Aspiration, Academic Anxiety and Academic Achievement among the Secondary School Students: A Comparative Study of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE) Schools"

Dr. Ismail Thamarasseri hat einen B.A., B.Ed., M.A. Soziologie, M.A. Englisch, M.Ed. und einen Doktortitel. Er begann seine Karriere an der Govt. Higher Sec. School, Cheriyamundam, Kerala und arbeitete später in den Farook Educational Institutions Kottakkal. Zurzeit arbeitet er als Assistenzprofessor an der Central University of Kashmir, Indien.
