Caregiver Burden and Social Support

This book 'Caregiver Burden and Social Support - Mothers of children with Mental Retardation' is a collection of details regarding various Psychological and Social problems of mothers who are taking care of their children with mental retardation. This research has carried out in various rehabilitation centres at Hyderabad named Sweekaar Rehabilitation Institute for Handicapped and National Institute for Mentally Handicapped, during the period of 2010 - 2011. Book includes five chapters with references; it explains various psycho-social problems of mothers of children with mental retardation in detail. It was comparative experimental design with control group of normal children. The mothers of children with mental retardation experiencing more burden and less social support than the mothers of normal children. Author was also worked with Indian Institute of Public Health, as Rehabilitation Psychologist, for the project of INCLEN and worked with AskNeetu Counselling and Rehabilitation Center as a Rehabilitation Psychologist.
