Carnauba Straw - Copernicia Cerifera

The purpose of Carnauba Straw (Copernicia cerifera) in removing methylene blue and crystal violet dyes is to give readers and researchers the opportunity to reflect on the environmental problem occurring in rivers, which is very common in contemporary society due to the introduction of chemicals that affect water quality. The study found that raw carnauba straw has a significant adsorption capacity for removing the textile dyes methylene blue and crystal violet from aqueous media. Thus, the straw from this palm tree is an economically viable alternative to commercial adsorbents, as it is low cost, highly available, and a renewable material.
