Case Studies in Finance

The field of finance has often been considered as a difficult area of study. Even though in our everyday activities we are affected by the activities of financial institutions, it is quite surprising that the masses still lack basic understanding of the impact of macroeconomic indicators and the implications of financial market dynamics. Interest rates,stocks,bonds and bank lending which was considered as a dark art in the past, now has public exposures as information is becoming accessible with the advent of advanced technological tools like the internet. Through the internet, financial information can reach every corner of the world. This book uses case studies in financial markets, financial econometrics, bank lending, financial management, business ethics, strategic management, risk management in financial institutions and corporate governance to elucidate financial concepts with empirical evidence from Ghana.
