In accordance with the 2nd year Bachelor of Tourism & Hospitality programme at EXCELIA GROUP at La Rochelle France students, are required to complete an academic internship lasting for four (04) months. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis at the beginning of 2020, all business sectors were seriously disrupted. Moreover, the impact in the tourism and hotel sector will have was most catastrophic, resulting in numerous closures of tourist establishments due to health restrictions imposed by Governments. This particularly unfavorable context has drastically reduced the offer of academic internships in Europe in general, and in mainland France in particular.
