The aim of this book is to provide a comparative analysis of intra- and inter- linguistic features, setting a benchmark for future typological studies. It contrasts cognitive and functional aspects of causative, agent-deprofiling, and resultative constructions in two typologically distant languages: English and Urdu.
Autorentext
Mahum Hayat Khan holds a master's degree in Advanced Studies in the Humanities, and a PhD in English Studies. After completing her doctorate, she secured a position as a full-time junior lecturer at the University of La Rioja, which she has held since September 2023. Since 2020, she has served as an assistant editor of the international journal Review of Cognitive Linguistics.
