CBCT IN ENDODONTICS

More recent advances in digital diagnostic imaging have meant lower radiation does and faster processing time without affecting diagnostic quality of the intraoral or panoramic image conventional radiograph have been used in endodontic practice for varied purposes, most of these limitation are overcome with the advance of 3D CBCT. CBCT is capable of processing 3D image that can quick diagnosis and treatment plan followed by generate 3D data at lower cost with lower absorb doses of radiation then conventional CT also offer 3D representation of hard and soft tissue. Most software provide for various non-axial 2D image in multiplanar reformation hence, CBCT is capable of providing accurate, sub millimeter resolution image and allow 3D Visualization of complexity in maxillo-facial region and CBCT established itself as highly useful tool in visualizing the exact root and equal anatomy, pathology alteration, assessment root resorption. Knowledge about CBCT can help clinicians to make the full use of there excellent 3D image system starting from, diagnosis to treatment outcome and evaluation. Hence CBCT helps in desired accuracy and precision.
