Moreover, the researchers have advanced that the fungus has great possibility of being more widespread if infected trees have been planted freely around the country before they have developed signs of the disease. The fungus, known as chalara fraxinea was first discovered among trees imported to a nursery in Buckinghamshire in February 2012. Scientists have brought up evidence showing that the deadly fungus causes leaf loss and can lead to the death of the tree. The fungus is in the leaf stock over winter and when it warms up in spring it produces these little spores (small discs)...
