Chalcone: A Scaffold With Multifarious Activity

This book aims at publishing research carried out by author on synthesis of a scaffold chalcone and its further use as anti-malarial, antifilarial and antimicrobial agent. The scaffold was further used to prepare flavones and their NO inhibitory activity was examined. DNA binding studies were also carried out as the molecule contained intra charge transfer actvity, This book will allow readers to develop interest in synthesis of small molecules with multifarioius actvity.

The author obtained her PhD degree from department of Chemistry University of Delhi in March 2009. After then She joined Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences Pilani, India as an asst Prof. Thereafter she moved to Lucknow because of personal reasons. The author is currently an Asst Prof at Indian Institute of Information Technology,Allahabad.
