Challenges and Innovations in Digital Humanities

The humanities and social sciences are facing major challenges in the face of the rapid expansion of science and technology. The acceleration of technical innovation has widened the gap between these disciplines, leading some researchers to speak of an implicit crisis. However, initiatives are emerging to integrate the human sciences into the knowledge society, notably through the emerging field of digital humanities. By combining digital methods and tools, this discipline offers new perspectives for the analysis and understanding of human phenomena. It touches on fields as diverse as linguistics, history, geography, psychology, philosophy and sociology, thanks to the use of databases, artificial intelligence and virtual reality technologies. Although the digital humanities may seem superficial at first glance, they conceal significant depth.In this book, we will examine the main challenges facing the digital humanities.
