Born in 1982 in marindi village, nyamira district of western kenya, ochwangi attended marindi primary and marindi secondary schools before proceeding to maseno university to b.Ed-linguistics and literature.He then proceeded to the university of nairobi to pursue a masters in sociology of education. He works as a lecturer and consultant in sociology.
