The book proposes alternative way where subjective well-being is the base. the idea is to institutionalize monitoring so as to provide planners, policy makers and decision makers at the Local Government Authority level with feedback which is not possible with the existing range of results obtained from household survey (e.g Household Budget Survey (HBS),Integrated Labour Force Survey (ILFS), National Panel Survey (NPS) and Agriculture Survey)

Gabriel Simbila is a Statistician at National Bureau of Statistics, Tanzania, he mainly works in National Accounts Statistics and has been a member of the International Association for Research in Income and Wealth since 2011, his currently research interest include inequality and poverty and area of economic measurement.
