Challenges of NGOs in Economic Development of Third World Countries

Non-Governmental Organizations for a long time have relied on donors to support their project activities through grants and donations. However, they have realized that such sources are insufficient for project implementation and sustainability. This book looks generally at challenges facing women NGOs in less developed countries. It is therefore, for anyone who wants to engage in NGOs development work to bring socio-economic and political change desired. Therefore, it is intended for those in NGOs of any sort. Introduction to the NGOs Challenges: This chapter forms an introduction to challenges faced by Local women development NGOs. NGOs Concepts,terms and Theories: This chapter covers everything from Introduction to NGOs concepts and theories defining and explaining the genesis of NGOs, their works, challenges and solutions. Data Collection Design and Methodology: In this chapter, we discuss the real meat of data collection, research design, methodological context and method employed. Findings and Discussion: Here, we look at the findings and discussion. Conclusions and Recommendations: In these chapters we look at the conclusions, recommendations, and areas for further research.
