Challenges of turbulence

In March 2025, an enlarged meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus was held to review the results of the work of the Foreign Ministry in 2024. The meeting summarized the results of the work of the Belarusian diplomatic service bodies in the past year with a focus on the fulfillment of tasks in the foreign policy and foreign economic spheres and highlighted the priority areas for improving the efficiency of joint activities of the Ministry, foreign institutions, line ministries and concerns in the export direction Special attention at this meeting was paid to the development of trade and economic cooperation with African countries and other states of the "far arc", creation of own infrastructure for export promotion abroad. As a result of this discussion, the task was set to improve systematic approaches to promoting Belarusian exports taking into account the current realities, as the achievement of quantitative parameters should be accompanied by their qualitative assessment to build medium- and long-term strategies of work in countries and regions. How are these issues addressed in practice? This is the subject of this study.
