Sprinkler irrigation is one of the key technologies in the development of water-saving irrigation. New equipment is an important guarantee to popularize sprinkler irrigation. A complete fluidic sprinkler, a new type of water-saving product, was originally invented in China. This product depends on Coanda effect theory to accomplish the functions of direct spraying, stepping, and reversing. We own the intellectual property for this product and for several correlative patents. A series of complete fluidic sprinklers and other water-saving products have been developed by relying on several national major projects. Writing a professional book is necessary to introduce the key technology for these new products. Knowledge on the characteristics of fluidic sprinkler and variable-rate irrigation system will have high academic value and practical significance.
Autorentext
Dr. Xingye Zhu, research associate professor, has obtained his PhD degree in Jiangsu University of China in 2009. Since then he has worked in several Chinese projects in the field of sprinkler irrigation. He is the author of more than 50 articles published in reputed journals and is a member of different international working groups.
